Chellie is certified as a Birth and Postpartum Doula by DONA, and has been practicing since 1998. She is trained in various methods of labor support, including Hypnobirthing. Her presence brings calmness & reassurance to women and their partners. Her encouraging support allows her clients the freedom to pursue their goals either in the labor room or at home with their newborn.
In addition to her own two healthy children, Chellie has cared for 'at-risk' newborns both in the hospital and in her home. She has extensive experience with multiples, and is available to help you achieve continuity, structure and calm throughout the birth & postpartum experience.

Lydia Hocking - Helping Families Transition Smoothly
Lydia Hocking is a Postpartum Doula and is DONA trained and certified. She is married and the mother of two grown children and grandmother of five wonderful grandchildren.
Lydia's extensive experience working with women and loving babies makes her a natural at being nurturing professional. She is encouraging, supportive and offers practical help to new parents, new babies and their siblings. She finds great satisfaction in helping families transition smoothly by teaching and training in all aspects of infant care.

Dorothy Landino - Easing & Enhancing the Transition for Parents of Newborns
Dorothy is happily married and lives in the South Bay where she & her husband raised their two sons, and are the grandparents of nine wonderful children. She became a Postpartum Doula because she knows the value of postpartum support to a new family and the importance of getting off to a good start. Dorothy is a DONA Certified Postpartum Doula.
Dorothy gives the mom and family a sense of security while nurturing, educating, and supporting them with practical help. Whether caring for her many families of multiples or just one baby at a time, those who have used her services have found her calming & supportive assistance to have greatly eased and enhanced their transition as parents of newborns.

Rená Koerner - Bringing Knowledge and Compassion to the Birthing
Place
Rená's love for understanding the birth process brings knowledge as well as, compassion to the birthing place. She enjoys working with her clients, by educating and preparing them so that they are better equipped to make informed decisions.
Rená holds dual certifications with CAPPA and DONA as a Birth Doula, CAPPA Certified Childbirth Educator, trained Postpartum Doula, Certified Happiest Baby Instructor, Reiki Practitioner, and CAPPA Certified Labor Doula Trainer with years of experience. Rena' currently is the President of the Doulas Association of Southern California (DASC) and is the Regional Director for CAPPA.
Rená enjoys educating and being a local resource to newly expectant mothers and their families. She considers it a true blessing to support families and in helping them to achieve the experience they desire.

Tracy Schauwecker - Helping Couples Ease Into Their New Role As Parents
Tracy is an experienced mother of three; two grown daughters & one teenager. Prior to having her own children, she cared for four babies each day in her licensed home-infant care while their parents worked. Her experiences in supporting those parents, helping them to understand their baby's needs & development, later led into her working with moms & dads as a parenting instructor.
As a DONA trained postpartum doula, she now enjoys encouraging and supporting parents as they begin this journey into parenting their new baby. She shares infant care knowledge with them, ideas to help with sibling adjustments and is even available for overnight help for the sleep-deprived parents.

Erin Fisher - Supporting families from Conception through Childhood
We are proud to have Erin as our newest member of Doulas of the South Bay. Erin started out as a Community Based Doula, volunteering with pregnant teens and at risk women in the South Bay and is now pursuing Certifications through CAPPA as a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula and Lactation Educator. After supporting her best friends birth in 1998 she changed her career path from Business to Child Development, later obtaining a degree in Child and Adolescent Development and working as a sales associate in a children's retail store, live-in and live-out Nanny, Travel Nanny and a Montessori Teachers Assistant. Erin also has a passion for Community Service (as a member of the Rotary International family) and traveling and has taught English in 2 summer programs in China and spent a summer in a village in Botswana, Africa where she volunteered with children at a safe house as well as in a Pediatric AIDS clinic.
